I’m looking for help understanding what a Schedule C Tax Form is and how it’s used by self-employed individuals. Specifically, I’d like a simple explanation of how to report income, track expenses, and calculate profit or loss using this form.

Schedule C is an IRS form used by sole proprietors and single-member LLCs to report business income or loss.

  • Usage: Taxpayers list total sales and deduct business expenses (like travel or equipment) to determine taxable net profit reported on Form 1040.
